Cookie Policy

This policy explains what cookies https://aurelle-vip.com uses, what each one does, and how to control them. It supplements our Privacy Policy.

1. What cookies are

A cookie is a small text file a website stores on your device. It lets the site remember things between page loads — such as what is in your shopping bag — and lets us understand how the site is used. We also use similar technologies such as local storage and pixels; where we say “cookies” below we mean all of them.

2. Cookies we use

Strictly necessary — always on

These make the shop work. They cannot be switched off and do not require consent.

Cookie Purpose Expires
woocommerce_cart_hash Tells the site your bag has changed so totals refresh Session
woocommerce_items_in_cart Keeps your bag contents between pages Session
wp_woocommerce_session_* Links your browser to your bag and checkout data on our server 48 hours
wordpress_logged_in_* Keeps you signed in to your account Session, or 14 days if “remember me”
wp-settings-* Remembers your account interface preferences 1 year
aurelle_cookie_consent Records your choice on this banner so we stop asking 12 months
__stripe_mid, __stripe_sid Set by Stripe to detect and prevent payment fraud 1 year / 30 minutes
PayPal session cookies Set by PayPal when you pay with PayPal, to complete and secure the transaction Session to 3 years

Functional — optional

Cookie Purpose Expires
aurelle_wishlist Remembers saved items when you are not signed in 12 months
aurelle_recent Powers the “recently viewed” row 30 days
aurelle_size_pref Remembers the size chart region you last chose (AU/US/UK/EU) 12 months

Analytics — optional, off until you accept

Cookie Set by Purpose Expires
_ga Google Analytics Distinguishes visitors so we can count them 13 months
_ga_* Google Analytics Maintains the analytics session state 13 months

We use analytics only in aggregate — to see which pages and products people look at and where the checkout loses people. We have IP anonymisation enabled and we do not use analytics data to identify you personally.

Marketing

We do not currently run third-party advertising or retargeting cookies. If that changes we will update this page and ask for your consent before setting them.

3. Your choices

When you first visit we show a banner with three options: Accept all, Reject non-essential, or Manage preferences. Nothing optional is set until you choose. Rejecting non-essential cookies does not restrict any part of the shop — you can browse, buy and return exactly the same way.

You can change your mind at any time using the Cookie preferences link in the footer of every page.

4. Controlling cookies in your browser

You can also block or delete cookies in your browser settings. Note that blocking strictly necessary cookies will break the shopping bag and checkout.

You can opt out of Google Analytics across all sites with the Google Analytics Opt-out Browser Add-on.

5. Third-party cookies

Some cookies are set by our payment providers when you reach checkout — this is required for fraud prevention and to complete the payment securely. Those cookies are governed by their own policies: Stripe Cookie Policy and PayPal Cookie Statement.

6. Do Not Track

There is no agreed industry standard for responding to browser Do Not Track signals, so we do not respond to them. Use the cookie banner or the footer link instead — those we honour.

7. Changes and contact

We review this policy whenever we add or remove a tool that sets cookies. Questions: [email protected].
