Payment Methods & Security

Everything about how you pay AURELLE: which methods we accept, what currency you are charged in, what shows on your statement, and how your card details are protected.

1. Currency

Every price on this Site is displayed and charged in Australian Dollars (AUD). We show prices as A$ — for example A$189.00 AUD. Prices include Australian GST at 10% where applicable. Shipping is added at checkout and is also in AUD.

We do not charge in any other currency. If your card or PayPal account is denominated in another currency, your issuer converts the AUD amount at their exchange rate on the transaction date and may add a foreign transaction fee. That rate and any such fee are set by your issuer — we do not receive them and cannot change them.

2. Payment methods we accept

  • Credit and debit cards — Visa, Mastercard and American Express
  • PayPal — including PayPal balance, linked bank account and linked cards
  • Digital wallets — Apple Pay and Google Pay

The card brand logos we accept are shown in the footer of every page and again at checkout, so you can see before you start what you can pay with.

We do not accept cheques, money orders, bank transfers, cryptocurrency or cash on delivery.

3. Who processes your payment

Payments are processed by Stripe and PayPal. Both are independently certified PCI DSS Level 1 service providers — the highest level of certification available in the card payments industry.

  • Card, Apple Pay and Google Pay payments are handled by Stripe. Your card number is entered into a field hosted by Stripe and is transmitted directly to them.
  • PayPal payments are completed on PayPal’s own site or in their hosted window. You log in to PayPal, not to us.

4. What happens to your card details

AURELLE never sees, receives or stores your full card number, expiry date or CVC. Those details go straight from your browser to the payment provider over an encrypted TLS connection and are tokenised on their systems.

What we receive back and keep is limited to: a payment token, the card brand, the last four digits, the authorisation result and the amount. That is enough for us to identify your payment, issue a refund and answer a query — and not enough for anyone to make a charge with.

If you save a card for next time, the card is stored by Stripe against a token. We store the token, never the number.

5. Site and checkout security

  • The whole Site — not just checkout — is served over TLS/HTTPS. Look for the padlock in your browser’s address bar.
  • Card fields are hosted by our payment provider and isolated from our own page, so our servers are never in the path of your card data.
  • We support 3-D Secure / Strong Customer Authentication. Your bank may ask you to confirm the payment in its app or by SMS code. This is normal and protects you against unauthorised use.
  • We apply rate limiting and fraud screening to block card-testing attacks and repeated failed authorisations.
  • Administrative access to our store is restricted and protected by strong authentication.
  • We handle your personal information as described in our Privacy Policy.

6. What appears on your statement

Your card or PayPal statement will show “AURELLE”. If you see a charge you do not recognise, check this descriptor first, then contact us at [email protected] before disputing it with your bank — we can identify the order immediately.

7. When you are charged

Payment is authorised and captured when you place your order. You will receive an order acknowledgement email straight away and a tax invoice with your dispatch confirmation.

Occasionally a bank places a temporary authorisation hold on a declined or abandoned attempt. That is not a charge and is released by your bank, usually within 3–7 business days.

We do not sell subscriptions and we never store your details to bill you again automatically. Every charge follows an order you have placed.

8. If your payment is declined

Declines come from your card issuer, not from us, and we are not told the reason. Common causes are an incorrect billing address, insufficient funds, an expired card, or the issuer blocking an unusual or international transaction. Check the details, try another method, or call your bank. If it still fails, contact us and we will help.

9. Refunds

Refunds are issued to the original payment method only, in AUD. We process approved refunds within 2 business days; your bank or PayPal then takes 5–10 business days to display them. See the Refund & Returns Policy.

10. Pricing errors

We check prices carefully, but if an item is listed at an obviously incorrect price we may cancel the order before dispatch and refund you in full rather than supply at that price. We will contact you first and give you the option to reorder at the correct price.
